盘古开天辟地

在遥远的太古时代，宇宙好像一颗硕大无比的鸡蛋，里面漆黑一片，没有东南西北，也没有前后左右。

In the distant primordial era, the universe resembled an enormous egg, shrouded in darkness with no cardinal directions and no sense of front or back.

就在这样的世界中，诞生了一位伟大的英雄，他的名字叫盘古。

In such a world, a great hero was born, named Pangu.

盘古在鸡蛋中沉睡了一万八千多年，终于苏醒过来。当他睁开朦胧的睡眼时，眼前除了黑暗还是黑暗。

Pangu had been sleeping inside the egg for over 18,000 years before he finally awoke. When he opened his blurry eyes, all he could see before him was darkness.

他想伸展一下筋骨，但 鸡蛋 紧紧包裹着身子，他感到浑身燥热不堪，呼吸非常困难。

He tried to stretch his limbs, but the egg tightly enveloped his body. He felt a burning heat all over, and it was very difficult to breathe.

天哪！这该死的地方！

Heavenly Father! This damned place!

盘古不能想象可以在这种环境中忍辱地生存下去。

Pangu could not imagine enduring life in such an environment.

他火冒三丈，勃然大怒，随手操起一把巨大而锋利的斧头，使出浑身气力，大吼一声，奋力挥舞开来。

Furious, he became enraged, grabbed a gigantic and sharp axe, and with all his might, he shouted and swung it forcefully.

哗啦啦啦！ 一阵巨响过后， 鸡蛋 中一股清新的气体散发开来，飘飘扬扬升到高处，变成天空；

With a thunderous sound, a rush of fresh air burst forth from the egg, soaring high up to become the sky; while other murky substances slowly sank down to form the earth. From then on, the chaotic universe transformed into a separation of heaven and earth, no longer engulfed in darkness.

另外一些浑浊的东西缓缓下沉，变成大地。从此，混沌不分的宇宙一变而为天和地，不再是漆黑一片。

Those within it felt invigorated.

人置身其中，只觉得神清气爽。

The sky was vast, and the earth was broad.

天空高远，大地辽阔。

But Pangu was not intoxicated by his victory; he worried that heaven and earth would come together again. Therefore, he spread his legs wide, firmly planted his feet on the ground, held his head high to support the sky, and then used his magic, transforming his body nine times within a day.

但盘古没有被胜利冲昏头脑，他担心天地会重新合在一起，于是叉开双脚，稳稳地踩在地上，高高昂起头颅，顶住天空，然后施展法术，身体在一天之内变化九次。

Every time Pangu grew a foot taller, the sky also rose a foot higher, and the earth thickened by a foot;

每当盘古的身体长高一尺，天空就随之增高一尺，大地也增厚一尺；

every time Pangu grew a yard taller, the sky also increased by a yard, and the earth thickened by a yard.

每当盘古的身体长高一丈，天空就随之增高一丈，大地也增厚一丈。

After more than 18,000 years of effort, Pangu became a towering giant, the sky soared to unimaginable heights, and the earth became remarkably solid.

经过一万八千多年的努力，盘古变成一位顶天立地的巨人，而天空也升得高不可及，大地也变得厚实无比。

Pangu still did not rest, continuing to exert his magic. It was unclear how many more years passed before the sky could rise no higher and the earth could thicken no more.

盘古仍不罢休，继续施展法术，不知又过了多少年，天终于不能再高了，地也不能再厚了。

At this point, Pangu had exhausted all his strength. He slowly opened his eyes and gazed affectionately at the world he had just created.

这时，盘古已耗尽全身力气，他缓缓睁开双眼，满怀深情地望了望自己亲手开辟的天地。

Ah! How magnificent it is; he had created such a brand new world!

啊！太伟大了，自己竟然创造出这样一个崭新的世界！

From then on, all creatures between heaven and earth would no longer live in darkness.

从此，天地间的万物再也不会生活在黑暗中了。

Pangu took a long breath and lay down on the ground, closing his heavy eyelids, and departed from this world.

盘古长长地吐出一口气，慢慢地躺在地上，闭上沉重的眼皮，与世长辞了。

The great hero had died, but his body did not vanish: Pangu's left eye turned into the sun, illuminating the earth;

伟大的英雄死了，但他的遗体并没有消失：盘古的左眼变成太阳，照耀大地；

his right eye transformed into the pure moon, bringing light to the night; countless strands of hair became stars, adorning the beautiful night sky;

右眼变成浩洁的月亮，给夜晚带来光明；千万缕头发变成颗颗星星，点缀美丽的夜空；

his limbs and body became the towering mountains, giving grandeur to the land; his blood turned into rivers and lakes, flowing endlessly;

而他的四肢和身躯却变成三山五岳，给大地以雄壮；鲜血变成江河湖海，奔腾不息；

his muscles transformed into fertile fields, sustaining all life; his bones became trees and flowers for people to admire;

肌肉变成千里沃野，供万物生存；骨骼变成树木花草，供人们欣赏；

his teeth turned into stones and metals for human use; his essence became bright pearls for people to cherish;

牙齿变成石头和金属，供人们使用；精髓变成明亮的珍珠，供人们收藏；

his sweat became rain and dew, nourishing the seedlings; the air he exhaled transformed into gentle breezes and clouds, merging into the picturesque beauty of the human world.

汗水变成雨露，滋润禾苗；呼出的空气变成轻风和白去，汇成美丽的人间风光。

During his lifetime, Pangu accomplished the great feat of creating heaven and earth, and after death, he left an endless treasure for future generations.

盘古生前完成开天辟地的伟大业绩，死后永远留给后人无穷无尽的宝藏。
